My name is Anne Depue and I have been teaching music at HCS since 2009. I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and faithfully attended church with my family. I was saved around age 5 and baptized at age 10. I earned a music education degree at The King’s College (NY) and worked on a master’s degree at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. My husband, James, and I met when we were teens and we have been married almost 40 years. He has pastored in several churches, including Pine Valley Baptist Church, where he was the assistant pastor in the 1980’s. We now live in Newfield, NY, where he pastors People’s Baptist. We have 7 children, 4 of whom are married; and 4 grandchildren.
My interests include reading, quilting, and watching my son (a high schooler) play soccer. It’s also great fun to spend time with my married daughters and their families.
One of my favorite Bible verses is Philippians 3:13b-14, “Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
